Sam Parrish

Hi, I'm Sam! I’m a senior studying music business with a minor in Japanese at Syracuse University.

I originally founded Crossroads Collective as my capstone project, but it has grown into so much more. After 4 years at SU, I realized the incredible divide that exists between the university and the community. I am passionate about sustainability and started Crossroads with the mission to bridge this gap, connecting the university with the local community through events, programming, volunteering, and fundraising.

My commitment to community enrichment materialized through a pivotal partnership with Arthouse Collective, a 501c nonprofit. As an intern, I contributed to launching a free music lesson program for inner city kids. The collaboration laid the groundwork for Crossroads to integrate music and arts into its core mission.

After meeting Anjali Engstrom, Crossroads VP, and Annie Knobloch, Head of Communications, the organization blossomed. Their ongoing initiatives with FAHNN and the Restock Project, aimed at delivering fresh, healthy food to Syracuse's Southside community, perfectly complemented our vision. Through seamless collaboration, we combined music, arts, and food into crossroads sustainability mission. 

As the President of Crossroads Collective, I am inspired by the collective energy of our community, the resilience of our partners, and the transformative power of our shared mission. Looking ahead, our journey is one of continual growth, innovation, and, most importantly, positive impact.
